Now you would say how list making can be interesting? And most importantly how one can relate list-making to social networks? Well that’s what the Listnerd is about. Listnerd is basically is a social network that offers you to create list in interesting social ways. All of us most probably think that list making isn’t a fun, but with Listnerd list-making is a full fun and that’s the basic idea behind Listnerd.
We love to read and share the details in a top lists format like top ten fastest cars, top ten music on the UK chart, or even unusual lists like, top western dresses or top dubstep artists in the world and similarly more. Similarly list making is also a great idea where you can create a poll in a list and ask people to rate all the characters in the list and decide a winner.
There’s seriously nothing major to do to create a list in Listnerd. First of all register yourself with Listnerd via your Facebook or Twitter accounts which will just takes 4-6 seconds. Where does Listnerd actually stand?
Listnerd is categorized as a social network and we feel the pretty same. Although, it does resembles the Twitter and Facebook in some aspect but not completely. Further, you can even discover the new lists under “Discover List” section. Moreover you can manage your account efficiently with an eye-catching public profile and in Listnerd people can follow you and you can follow them. You can also rate a list, comment under a list and share them to other social networks like Facebook. So overall the application is pretty interesting and promising.
The only problem we find is the unavailability of sufficient voters. At the time I created an account with 1 list in hand, I was ranked at position 341 out of 1360 total members. This shows the unavailability of voters in the Listnerd and those who are registered don’t participate in list-making, not at all.
Listnerd is the only list-based social network that allows creating lists and allowing voters to vote the items up at the same time. So, basically Listnerd has the capabilities to create on-line list with voting supports which in turn will provide honest results. Other than the unavailability of sufficient users, the concept is interesting and is implemented in a cool and beautiful way. The web design is cool and the response time of the website is excellent, in fact outstanding.
However, the homepage of Listnerd seems over-designed and stuffy. Option for adding images or link is very beneficial and helps to create professional lists. Adding the description to the list or poll is perfect and helps to identify and understand the list in a better way.
Overall, the Listnerd is a great option to create professional online list with an option to vote the favourite contenders and therefore can be used to collect honest results. Listnerd can be useful for users who love to spend most of time on social networks. Although it doesn’t be considered as a full-fledged social network but still the idea is pretty impressive and so is the implementation. You can use it as a Facebook accessory to increase the Facebook productivity and beside that there’s nothing that you can expect from Listnerd.com.
Let us know how do you like the concept of the web service or are you going to use it?
