Facebook Introduces its Email Service [yourusername@facebook.com]

Facebook have finally planned to  introduce its own email services to it’s users. Users can send and receive messages by using an email address (username@facebook.com). The service has not been launched yet and it’s still  not mentioned when this will be finalized and users be able to get one of these email addresses. This service not will not be a regular email service, it will not allow email elements like Subject Line, BBC and CC. This will be a very simple email service.

Currently users can only ask for an invitation so that they will get a notification from Facebook to choose their email address.

How to get your Facebook Email Address?

Well, it’s simple. All you need is to login to your facebook account and access this page http://www.facebook.com/about/messages and click to “Send a Request” in the bottom right of the page.

You need to wait as this will take time, Facebook team will send you a short message when you will be invited. When you will get invitation request, open invitation link then select your user name for email address which will be in this format: yourusername@facebook.com.

You will be able to see email messages in your Facebook Message Inbox just like you send and receive currently.
