It can be said Windows Phone 7 has not hit the bulls eye just like what Android and iOS have hit, but, without any prejudice.I give you 5 reasons why you should switch to Windows Phone 7.

Windows Phone 7

1. Gaming

Be it Apple idea of game centre, in this category if anyone stands apart, its Windows Phone 7, with dedicated Xbox Live gaming hub, when its functional, your device will act as a companion device to XBox 360 Console. Thus, giving you a built-in Phone gaming experience not to forget the WiFi connectivity and integration making it possible to Game around easily and more portably. It is definitely, Gamers cup of tea.

2. Office Functions

We all know, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows Phone 7 are products of same Co, i.e. Microsoft, who better has integration of your work files and Documents into Microsoft Office than the Windows Phone 7 itself. Pre-loaded Office Suite makes it a piece of cake to view, edit, share and save documents while on-the-go, hence, not only fulfilling important office-work also giving you a run for the money.

3. Sync

Cutting-edge device recognition and compatibility makes it possible for you to forget your USB-cable and concentrate on a better-way, transfer of files, data over-the-air. This won’t be difficult or Rocket-science as Microsoft atleast has a greater integration into their products and systems, so, it is better.

4. User Interface

Apple’s iOS had made the benchmark when it launched iPhone 2G, it further raised the bar everytime with iPhone OS 3, iOS 4 and still is, with practically all other Platforms trying to adopt the interface, Windows Phone 7 can’t be pronounced a loser, it has got a greater integration if we measure it on context of Microsoft Office, contacts, music and Windows Phone Market.

What stands out is , instead of App grid just like Android and iOS, Windows Phone 7 has a hub with sub-categories keeping it easier and at the same time giving you a sight of something new and different.Similarly, Different menus are designed to give a finger-friendly look which gives a new touch as fresh as what we had experienced when holding an iPhone for the first time. In Windows Phone 7, what I can say credibly is the interface is a whole new revamped-experience.

5. Apps

Many experts including me, doubted upon the idea that App developers and Microsoft itself will play a viable part in adding App on such alarming speeds as Android and iOS have been able to do, but , it proved all wrong with developers and Microsoft itself playing a better role in developing App portfolio. Although, not to rapid but still it is increasing day by day and I foresee it gaining pace in the comings days as more and more Phone 7 supported models roll out.

A last word would be that a survey in ending quarter of 2010 shows 70% of World’s PC have Windows 7 in them, Windows Phone 7 might not be such a big success, but Microsoft has been known to make things easier and usable, so being a product of Microsoft, it deserves a try, be it satisfying or not.
