If you’re a firefox user then you must know about plugins installed with it. Firefox Plugins power videos, animation and games and other kind of applications. There is no plugin installed by default when you install firefox for the first time. They’re built outside of Firefox by companies that want to support their applications to be executed by firefox.
Usually firefox automatically checks for updates for addons installed, ignoring the plugins. And If you noticed these plugins don’t always update automatically and if they’re not updated they can interrupt browsing by slowing down the performance and off course newer means better which have improvements that can make browsing smoother and safer for you.
But you can check for plugins’ status and updates through Mozilla’s Plugin Check Service. Just open Mozilla Plugin Check website. Wait for a few seconds until the website automatically scans all the installed plugins and their current update status. After scanning you’ll see a complete list of plugins, their details and (if outdated) their recommendation to update with the direct link- linking towards to developer’s website. Now all you have to do is to click the update button in front of the plugins that you see outdated. Plugins with undetected versions by “Plugin Check” are shown with a research button, clicking the Research button will open up Google Search results for the plugin’s wesbite, from where you can manually look for the appropriate developer’s wesbite to find the update. It is recommended to Bookmark Mozilla’s Plugin Check site and you should regularly visit it to check installed plugins’ updates.
