Add 125x125 Ads Widget To Blogger Blog

Beside Google Adsense, showing ads of others sites on your blog helps you earn more.


For these ads, size of 125x125 have become very popular. Using this ad size you can show more ads, using less space.



If you want to show these 125x125 little square-shaped ads on your blogspot blog, then all you have to do is to add a simple HTML/Javascript widget, that can show 3 ads in a row.


Most of the blogger templates now comes with a pre-installed "125x125 ads section widget", but if your blog doesn't have this, then follow these few easy steps to add this widget.


1. Go to 'Layout" of your blog.

2. Choose the section where you want to show this ads widget and then click "Add a Gadget" link.

3. From the pop up window that opens, choose second widget i-e "HTML/JavaScript".
Another window will pop-up.

4. In that window I'd recommend to leave the Title blank , but if you still want to give something to it, you can.

5. In the content Area, Copy/Paste this code below:

To change these ads;
- Replace the Links (in red) with your links that redirect to the advertiser's page.
- Replace the Links (in green) with the (125x125) ads picture that advertisers gave you.


To change link behind "Advertise here", replace the link in purple, with your link, that may lead to your email address/contact form or any link of your choice.

In my case its linking to my contact form.

Above code will show 3 ads in a row, and offcourse you can add more, but remember next 3 ads will be shown in next row.



If you want to show another ad, just Edit the widget and add this line:

...This will show your new ad. :-)


6. Click Save to close HTML/Javascript window and then Click Preview from the layout window.

7. If your blog looks all fine, in preview pane, then you can Save the settings.








Good thing about this simple widget is that, it can be accomodated even in vertical coulmn. It automatically adjusts itself, and shows the ads in vertical manner.

Ask's searches are often deep, so you don't have to enter that advance search option.
You can arrange the search results by their popularity,date and relevance.

2.Icerocket Blog Search

IceRocket is a very impressive blog search engine, that not only provides searches from blogs but also from web,images,twitter and myspace.
It's BigBuzz search option is fun to use, which shows results from all types of sites, including videos, news etc, all in one page.

The king of Search Engines, takes the top spot in blog content searching too.
Despite being beta for a long time Google Blog Search is not only accurate and lighting fast,but it shows the maximum number of search results.

It first matches the the searched keyword with blog titles and shows in top of the result page under Related Blog section.
Below that it shows all the blog posts containing the searched term.

You can also subscribe to feeds or create and email alerts of the search term, which sends you an email whenever the keyword search is updated in search database.You can even create a custom widget of the searched keyword(s) that you can embed in your blog.

If your blog is not showing in Search Results ,then you can tell Google about your blog.

If you are using Google toolbar, then you can speed up blog searching by adding Google Blog Search button to your toolbar, which will help you search right from your toolbar.

Fastest Way To Listen and Download MP3 Songs

Remember I shared a site about mp3 searching and said that It is the most effective way, and probably the fastest way in my point of view.

Now here's another one, and this one..is really impressive! :)

Its much faster, shows results immediately, Gives the direct links of songs, and BEST of all, you can listen right away before you download it!




Dilandau.com is the site that takes mp3 searching to a next level.

It makes mp3 searching extremely fast and easy.
...A site worth sharing to all music lovers.


All you have to do is to put in the song's name (it would be better if you include the artist's name also for accurate results) and hit Search Music button. And on the very next page it shows all the "Direct links" of the song you searched. :)

Unlike mp3xchg.com it doesn't show the indexes of mp3 sites, where we had to manually browse through those sites to find the best working link.
At an amazing searching speed it shows almost all the direct links of the song from nearly all mp3 sites out there!

You not only can download the song, but listen it online while downloading or before you save it.

You can Send the link to your friends via email or even share it on social bookmarking sites. But remember, sharing doesn't allow you to share the song's direct link, instead it sends the page's link.

And one little helpful feature of this site... you can add dilandau.com search capabilities to your browser.
Just click the respective buttons, in the bottom of the home page (encircled in first screenshot above) for your browser.

Blue Screen of Death- Now A Funny Screen Saver

Blue Screen of Death! Yes it is one of the most feared screen which totally freaks one out when it show up!

Yes I know how much you hate it when it shows on windows whenever something has gone terribly wrong with the system.

Now! How about setting that "Death Screen" as a screen saver on your PC ;)

I found this last night while I was browsing some sites with fun stuff like this! :)

Bluescreen is a screen saver that not only mimics a real Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), but will show Windows boot screen with progress bar, if you leave the screen saver running for few seconds :p

It continues running itself and gives different Blue Screens in every cycle after 15 seconds or so.
Funny thing is that it all the information which this screen saver shows is actually obtained from your own system's configuration!!

Its looks so real that it can easily fool even a pro user.
For example, the Windows build number, processor number, currently running files and drivers, disk drive characteristics, and memory size are all taken from the system, "BlueScreen" is running on.

And you know the best part? It can only be turned off by pressing any key, that means moving your mouse isn't gonna turn it off! :D

I installed this on my younger Bro's PC while he was away, and set the time to the minimum i-e 1 minute ;^ )

And when it showed up today, he came to me screaming like crazy! lol

It is total fun! You can use this BlueScreen to amaze your friends and scare your enemies! :-D


Here's How you Install it:

DOWNLOAD BlueScreen (Filesize: 63KB)

Just download the file and double click to test the screensaver without installing it, and to install it, right click the file and select "Install", it'll bring up the Display settings and will select this sreensaver as default automatically.

You'll have to Select the "Settings" button to enable that "fake disk activity", which adds an extra touch of realism!

Hit "apply" button, and you'll set the BlueScreen of Death, your Screensaver! :-)

The Quickest way to shorten a URL!

When you browse through some sites and found some page/article interesting and decide to share it with your friends.

You simply take the URL and copy it. And Suddenly when you paste it somewhere then you realize how LONG and ugly it looks with those numbers/letters/characters.


And Simply its just Impossible to remember it.
To overcome this situation, there are numbers of URL creating sites there that shorten your URL.

But here is an extremely handy Browser add-on that does this work in just 2 clicks!!


TinyURL Creator is the addon for your browser that lets you create a "tinyURL" of any opened page with 2 clicks!

This addon uses the famous TinyURL.com to generates these URLs.

I'm showing here how it works on Firefox...

After installation it'll automatically place itself beside address bar. You can off course place is wherever you like.



To Create TinyURL of any opened page, just Click that button and select "From Current URL" and in a pop-up window it shows the newly created short URL, and at that very moment it also saves the newly created short URL in the clipboard.



You can immediately goto that page, or save the URL in the list.

Now, how quicker creating short URLs process can be than this? :p

Add Twitter Submit-button to Blogger Blog

Twitter is no doubt becoming a very efficient and a quicker way to share thoughts, information, links, news or favorites over internet.

Beside this, most of the people specially bloggers are continuously spamming twitter with their blog links, to drive traffic to their sites.

Although it is already included in the quick bookmarks buttons below every post in my blog, I've decided to add a separate, big "twitter" button that can submit page's link to my twitter updates!

I was using a digg submit button before this, But since I'm kinda addicted to twitting now, I decided to remove that digg button and give twitter button a chance on top of each post of my blog! :)

So! If you blog using blogger.com platform, then you can add this button to your blog too.


Just follow these simple steps:

1. Go to 'Layout" of your blog, and then "Edit HTML" tab.

Next step should always be backing up your blogger template, so that if anything goes wrong, you'll have your backup to restore to original condition.
So, click "Download Full Template" link to first download backup!

2. Check "Expand Widget Templates" checkbox.

Now find (Ctrl+F) this line:

5. If preview shows everything fine, then you can SAVE the template :)
