Submit Blogger Blog’s URL+Sitemap to Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask

Submit your Blog's link and sitemap to all Search EnginesSitemaps are an easy way for webmasters to inform search engines about pages on their sites that are available for crawling. In its simplest form, a Sitemap is an XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional metadata about each URL (when it was last updated, how often it usually changes, and how important it is, relative to other URLs in the site) so that search engines can more intelligently crawl the site.

Follow steps below to add your blog’s sitemap to Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask.

Google

1. Sign in to Google Webmaster Tools using your gmail ID.
2. Click Add a Site and Enter your Blog’s URL

After submission choose META TAG for verification purpose. You’ll be given a code that should look something like:

3. Copy the code and paste in your Blogger’s HTML code.
4. Open your Blog’s “Layout” >”Edit HTML” and find

5. just under tag paste that meta tag given by Google Web Master
6. Save the Template.

After saving the template you may go back at Google’s webmaster to see blog’s status.

7. Now go to Google Webmaster Tools again, Click your site and Choose “sitemaps” from left column.

8. Click “Submit a Sitemap” and enter Following in the box
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index;=1&max-results;=500

9. And Click “Submit sitemap”

Initially all the stats will be empty that may take upto 24 hours for Google’s robot to index your sitemap.

Bing

Quick Method to submit Sitemap

1. Copy and paste following (separately) in your browser’s address bar.


http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?sitemap=www.YOUR-SITE-ADDRESS.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index;=1&max-results;=500

http://www.bing.com/webmaster/ping.aspx?sitemap=www.YOUR-SITE-ADDRESS.com/rss.xml

just change YOUR-SITE-ADDRESS before hitting enter.

To See Detailed statistics about your site, backlinks, crawls status or errors, you must:

1. Sign in to Bing Web Master Central using your Windows Live ID
2. Enter your complete site’s address.
3. Enter Sitemap’s address as:
http://www.YOUR-SITE-ADDRESS.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index;=1&max-results;=500
4. Giving your email address is optional.

Adding your sitemap to Bing Search Engine

After submission choose META TAG for Blog’s verification, code should look something like:

5. Copy the code and paste in your Blogger’s HTML code.
6. Open your Blog’s “Layout” >”Edit HTML” and find

7. just under tag paste that meta tag given by Bing Web Master Central
8. Save the Template.

After saving the template you may go back at Bing’s webmaster to see blog’s status. Initially all the stats will be empty that may take upto 24 hours for Bing to crawl your blog’s sitemap.


Yahoo

1. Sign in to Yahoo! Site Explorer using your Yahoo! ID.

2. Enter your blog’s address with http://www and Click “Add my Site”.

After submission choose META TAG for verification purpose. that looks something like:

3. Copy the code and paste in your Blogger’s HTML code.
4. Open your Blog’s “Layout” >”Edit HTML” and find

5. just under tag paste that meta tag given by Google Web Master
6. Save the Template.

After saving the template you may go back at Yahoo Site Explorer to see blog’s status.

7. Now go to Yahoo Site Explorer again, Click your site and Choose “Feeds” from left column.

8. Enter Following in the text box
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index;=1&max-results;=500

9. And Click “Add Feed”.

Initially all the stats will be empty that may take upto 24 hours for Yahoo to index your blog’s sitemap.


Ask

1. Copy and paste following in your browser’s address bar (one by one):


http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http://www.YOUR_DOMAIN.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index;=1&max-results;=500

http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http://www.YOUR_DOMAIN.com/rss.xml

Just change YOUR_DOMAIN to your blog’s actual address.

You’ll see a confirmation message after submitting your sitemap.

Remember all types of meta tags must be under tag of your Blogger Blog’s template.
